Pixelsynth privacy policy

Last updated September 14, 2026 · applies to Pixelsynth 1.0 Build 23 and later

Your music stays on your device. Pixelsynth does not create an account, track you, or collect what you play.

The instrument

Pixelsynth is a synthesizer for iPhone and iPad, available as a standalone app and an AUv3 instrument extension. Sound generation and visual feedback happen on your device. Pixelsynth does not receive recordings, MIDI notes, presets, or information about how you use the instrument.

Pixelsynth has no account, analytics SDK, tracking, third-party advertising, or in-app purchases. It does not request access to your microphone, contacts, photos, or location. The instrument and AUv3 extension work offline.

Developer messages in the standalone app

The standalone app includes a bundled introduction to Pixelboop, another app from the same developer. It may also connect to www.pixelboop.com to fetch occasional first-party developer news, images, and videos. A message is labeled as a developer promotion and can be closed immediately. The AUv3 extension does not show these messages or make this request.

Messages are selected using their publication dates and type, the app's local record of whether a message was seen, and a local daily display limit. The app does not send an account ID, advertising ID, push token, cookies, notes you play, listening activity, impression events, or a behavioral profile. Downloaded content and the seen-message record stay on your device. If the feed is unavailable, the instrument continues to work and can use its bundled content.

Connection and diagnostic data

Our hosting provider, Vercel, receives the connection information needed to deliver and protect the feed and media. Its service logs may retain request metadata such as IP address, user-agent, requested path, time, response status, and approximate network region for short periods used for delivery, security, abuse prevention, and technical diagnostics. The current hosting plan exposes runtime logs for up to one hour and basic observability records for up to twelve hours; Vercel may retain security records under its own policies.

Audiolux does not use this information to identify you, measure in-app behavior, target advertising, combine it with data from other companies, or share it with data brokers. We do not enable third-party analytics, advertising scripts, Web Analytics, Speed Insights, or external log drains for the Pixelsynth feed.

Using another music app

When you load the Pixelsynth extension in a compatible AUv3 host, that host can send MIDI notes and save the plugin state with your project. This does not send information to Audiolux. The host app is a separate product with its own privacy policy and settings.

This website and support

Visiting pixelboop.com or contacting support is separate from using the instrument. The website and its hosting provider process the connection information needed to serve pages and media. If you use our support form or email us, we receive the information you choose to provide so we can respond. See the Pixelboop website privacy policy for details about the website and its services.

Retention, access, and deletion

Pixelsynth does not collect app usage or music data. Short-lived feed delivery and security logs follow the periods described above. For information you send to support, contact hello@pixelboop.com to request access or deletion. We may retain records where required by law.

Children

Pixelsynth is a musical instrument for a general audience. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We will update this policy before a released version materially changes how it handles information.
